I really like his driving, great ability this guy has. I don't know if his is a much to Verstapen which is a bit difficult for anyone in the grid but i believe he is the best pairing to Max from all the rest that he had.
I'm not sure that I see it. The difference in speed at T9 is the same as the difference just before T11. So it doesn't indicate a deployment advantage. It just looks like Russell carried more speed and maintained it. Hidden in all of this is the fact that Mercedes combustion engine has an advantage over RBPT but I don't know how to quantify that.Emag wrote: ↑07 Mar 2026, 08:18
I wasn't being specific enough, but yes the first big straight is probably just drag + better exit out of T6 compared to others. RB seems to have similar levels of drag but Russell is getting a better exit out of T6.
The next straight though, after T10, that's where you can see a deployment difference with RBPT.

Is it a choice to harvest more in the high speed corners? Obviously Mercedes found 8 tenths somehow but since you could call anything a difference of harvesting then it's difficult to understand what is the real cornering deficit. The car is overweight so that also cost something in the corners.
Even there I see the same thing to be honest. Seems like Mercedes can clip later in the straight and then have more top-end in the following straight after T10.AR3-GP wrote: ↑07 Mar 2026, 08:54I'm not sure that I see it. Was he at full throttle there or not. Then you know the answer.
