If there is a trick for Mercedes engine and with Ferrari starts there is good hope it will be good racing season. Mercedes engine is good but it surely looks like running with Compression ratio trick with the blessings of FIA.

Other than throwing away a chance at a win by not pitting, at least it’s nice to see both drivers on the same pace. Arguably Hamilton having better race pace to be fair.

Starting the year with their trademark masterclass was just treat to watch. This team does not have the confidence to snatch an opportunity. Severe lack of confidence in their own capability.

The VSC deployed mere moments after they passed the pitlane on the first lap, and it got closed on the second lap.

Wish the fight at the end wasn't between our drivers. Great job from both of them, for Leclerc keeping the P3 despite struggling a lot and Hamilton for pushing him right until the end. I think it bodes well even if it isn't a win

I have to say, I believe LEC was nursing an issue after the 3rd VSC. He was nowhere pace wise.

Not really. Mercs were quicker on 15 lap older tires. The pace wasn't really there.

True. However, I think this formula is so power-starved that tire life isn't as impactful to average pace.
Someone would have to challenge me on that with numbers.
