We are certainly going to have an entertaining year with such comments. This is one thread to be watched for.OverheatedTurbo wrote: ↑13 Mar 2026, 12:48Third rate chassis P1 and P2. George and Kimi are driving the hell out of that third rate chassis. Good for them.![]()
Imagine a case where a manufacturer provides engine to 2 teams, their own factory team, Team A and customer Team B. What happens when Team A team driver impedes the Team B driver on his flying lap? The Team B driver tells the truth in front of stewards? I am sure he does right. That driver would be pissed off for having lost his opportunity for setting a better time. Imagine that manufacturer also happens to be a energy drinks company.
NOR's position on the radio was that he was about to open a push lap before he was blocked so he can make that claim irrespective of what prior data said. So i think it was nice of NOR and McL to actually do a nice thing and tell the stewards it was fine
Norris was lying on the radio to increase the chances of Antonelli getting a penalty. The data clearly shows that he was on a second warm-up lap (30-40kph slower on the straight than during his push lap later on) and this is also exactly what the team instructed him to do on the radio just before.
