Ferrari not too far behind on race pace but in these cooler conditions Mercedes are just a little bit better on tyres and you see that after 10 laps, they aint light years ahead like in qualifying though.

It was like the stupid token system in 2014. This is the pinnacle of motorsports for goodness sake. Teams should be able to bring engine updates at least in the first year of an engine formula.

like lewis said, merc are not using nitro's button untill q3 so it seem close so far

With these PU if you make one small mistake with harvesting your lap is half a second down. The drivers said this in the preseason and this is exactly the yoyo effect we are seeing on the timings.

How can you make a mistake harvesting?

When it costs laptime or positions.

I’m not sure how to read that contextually. Is LH saying it is ‘fair’ or ‘not fair’, the clip is blocked for me.
Unless things have changed for this season Engine modes (ICE) are fixed throughout competitive sessions, but Electrical deployment and harvest modes are free.

The gap would have been higher if it wasn’t Russel’s issue. Let’s hope the same happens for them in the race as well.
