I don't understand the relation of the result chart to your point? The sector and lap times are just the final lap and not their best times, if I'm not mistaken.

Red Bull Ford Powertrains were aware it is a battery competition and have quite decent battery expertise. Unfortunately Red Bull and Ferrari (and probably Cadillac and Aston Martin) do not have enough political leverage to be able to demand naturally aspirated ICE regulations with a simple KERS unit.

For whatever reason, Mercedes, Honda and Audi are not willing to align with what Red Bull wants.
