I would guess that picking Monza (over Imola, Mugello or Fiorano) is probably quite telling - if what you’re worried about is not being able to harvest/deploy as much energy as your competitor, what better place than Monza to push the limits?johnnycesup wrote: ↑16 Mar 2026, 23:02https://autoracer.it/ferrari-filming-da ... f26-miami/
Filming day at Monza at some point between Japan and Miami to evaluate the new package. I would image Imola would be a better circuit to do it, wouldn't it?
Monza is a track they will race at and is also one they're expected to do poorly in, so it'll be good to gather additional data there, won't it?johnnycesup wrote: ↑16 Mar 2026, 23:02https://autoracer.it/ferrari-filming-da ... f26-miami/

Trust me when I say it's unbelievable to many people here too..
Fiorano makes the most sense logistically. They also have some data to compare to from the car shakedown albeit not really that much.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑17 Mar 2026, 00:32Monza is a track they will race at and is also one they're expected to do poorly in, so it'll be good to gather additional data there, won't it?johnnycesup wrote: ↑16 Mar 2026, 23:02https://autoracer.it/ferrari-filming-da ... f26-miami/

*if* the FIA goes through with allowing ADUO after Miami even with the two cancellations, could be a good spot to test new engine + new package.Emag wrote: ↑17 Mar 2026, 00:41Fiorano makes the most sense logistically. So I agree that there's other reasons for them to pick Monza related to the PU optimization as well. Could give them some great insights on a track these cars are expected to struggle at.
I was thinking that an update package would have more to do with aero than the PU strategy, but you could be right there.f1316 wrote: ↑17 Mar 2026, 00:31I would guess that picking Monza (over Imola, Mugello or Fiorano) is probably quite telling - if what you’re worried about is not being able to harvest/deploy as much energy as your competitor, what better place than Monza to push the limits?johnnycesup wrote: ↑16 Mar 2026, 23:02https://autoracer.it/ferrari-filming-da ... f26-miami/

Makes me think that software for better deployment and/or drag reduction will be key focuses.
Damon, the posts on this site will go way over your head. I don’t care who’s in front but battling back and forth lost them huge amount of time and took the pressure completely off Kimi. You could say it makes no difference because the Mercedes are too fast - and maybe that’s true - but no point making it easy for them; we’ve seen lots of reliability issues with lots of cars including Mercedes so Ferrari needs to optimise race time and not let the Mercedes off the hook so they can turn everything down.
I’m happy to see both drivers performing at a high level but let’s be sensible and work as a team.
Slick insult. How about we enjoy both the drivers being up there and fightingdia6olo wrote: ↑17 Mar 2026, 01:30It’s good to see Lewis performing a lot better, at least over the opening 2 weekends.
However, I am not convinced he is actually doing better, or rather I am not convinced it has anything to do with him having improved from the previous season.
What I’m seeing with these cars is that the drivers are passengers.
Without incidents there is no driver separation because the cars don’t allow the drivers to make a difference and that’s the scenario across all the teams.
You can take it as an insult if that's how you feel but for me personally, this current 40 year old Lewis is not on Charles level.DJ Downforce wrote: ↑17 Mar 2026, 02:27Slick insult. I'm sorry, but what on earth are you rabbiting on about? Been on the drink it seems?DJ Downforce wrote: ↑17 Mar 2026, 02:25Damon, the posts on this site will go way over your head. I'm not as of yet, it's just a case of the Ferrari being clearly the second best car on the grid. Let's not forget he was quite competitive in Melbourne and the China sprint last season before they had to raise the ride height for the main race.dia6olo wrote: ↑17 Mar 2026, 01:30It’s good to see Lewis performing a lot better, at least over the opening 2 weekends.
