Silverstone has more than 1 layout. It's close for all teams and thus cost effective - including new/broken parts transportation. Allow 2 cars with 120 laps max per car per day. :D
Oh I do understand the logistics, but watching motorsport at UK circuits from very young age, rate Silverstone the least exciting to see them. It may be interesting to drivers, and to see absolute head-2-head intense battle, but outside that its pretty mundane from spectator point of view. We'll see a race there anyway this year, one is enough in my view.

There's three European southern-ish based teams in F1 that give some semblance of logistics balance to my choice, Mugello and Partugal Algarve offer far far more interesting opportunity to watch these car running, and don't give a current circuit perspective to data collection for teams to gain specific advantage.

It's testing... Not racing. :D
Well, it ain't gonna happen, is it ?

Lacking two GP though, it would be good to see the testing covered for those interested in what the teams are doing. Watching cars test at Silverstone would still be akin to watching paint dry

They should schedule a 3 day test at Silverstone to replace it.
No gaps in Silverstone calendar big enough to accommodate that.

Pretty much has on track activity every day.

Genius move by F1 to promote sustainable fuels. Now the whole world sees this as the future.

Sustainable fuels in itself are not the problem. The problem is this broken 50/50 power split that makes no sense. This would have been a million times better if we had a powerful V8/V10 with sustainable fuels instead, but they had to keep Audi and co happy by not ditching the hybrids.

FIA need to reduce the OEMS influence drastically. EV sales has dropped faster than politicians changes their minds. Let's hope the decline increases even more. I love V10's. :D

EV sales has dropped faster than politicians changes their minds. Let's hope the decline increases even more... :D :D

Google AI:
Major Factory Closures and Production Cuts (As of early 2026):

Volkswagen (Germany): In a historic move, Volkswagen closed its first factory in Germany in 88 years due to low demand for electric cars.
VW Production Pauses: VW suspended production at its Dresden "transparent factory" and paused production at its main EV plant in Zwickau, which produces six models for VW, Audi, and Cupra, due to low demand.
Audi (Belgium): Audi (part of the Volkswagen Group) decided to close its Brussels EV factory in February 2026, which produces the Q8 e-tron, following slow demand and high costs.
Stellantis (Europe): Stellantis has temporarily halted output at sites producing models like the Fiat Panda and Alfa Romeo Tonale due to sluggish market demand.
Ford (USA): Reports indicate that Ford has cancelled some electric vehicle projects and a battery plant to focus on profitable gas cars, reversing previous investment commitments.

To be fair that’s mostly because European made EVs have generally been subpar and overly expensive. I am fairly certain BYD and Tesla sell way more EVs globally than all European manufacturers combined (for EVs only I mean).

EV sales are going up, not down. Keeping the Strait of Hormuz closed helps a bit extra. 3D chess by some politicians going on there.

Yup, we've reached the tipping point.

It's cheaper. It's more efficient. It breaks down less. They catch on fire less (despite idiots claiming otherwise). They're more user friendly.

But yeah, car don't go brumm brumm so me no interest say the dinosaurs and cavemen in denial.

Even the "impossible and never going to happen" HGV shift has started, and the drivers love them.

Everybody, calm down and stop attacking “the other group”. If you think they are idiots, keep it to yourselves instead of trying to start a bar fight.

And god forbid, even perhaps consider going somewhere near the topic.

No politics, less fight, more logical arguments.
