Ferrari has aero inefficiency and a poor PU. It would always punish them on this efficiency track. They need the macarena wing.Emag wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026, 09:08Lewis hasn't been on it this weekend. You could sort of tell from practice already that he was playing catchup. In any case, I was a bit disappointed with Ferrari's pace in general here. I thought it would be better, but I guess the FP2 "longruns" were a bit deceiving. Particularly on McLaren's side. They were better than I thought they would be.
I really doubt the macarena wing alone is going to do much. Mercedes will keep developing too, when Ferrari make improvements in pace so will they most likely.AR3-GP wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026, 09:08Ferrari has aero inefficiency and a poor PU. Based on how much he complained about it throughout the whole race, seems like deployment issues but i'll wait until his interview to see what he says. he did well to keep russell behind as long as he didvenkyhere wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026, 09:00@Platinum_Zealot !!!! how are you coping ?
LH got a free pitstop, track position and 5 lap fresher tyres, over CL ; before the restart.
If there was any 'equal scenario' to beat his teammate, this was it. And still finished 2 places behind CL.
What's going to be the excuse this time ?
I know its only the 3rd race with this car, to have driver comparison talk, but I think the amount of gloating (where are your posts ? mods deleted ?) from LH fanbase was too much post China, and deserved a reply like this.
Hmmm, most ferrari fans will be pleased with another CL podium whilst Hamilton had his deployment issues!venkyhere wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026, 09:00@Platinum_Zealot !!!! how are you coping ?

4-5km/h is a huge efficiency boost. Ferrari in particular has a less efficient rear wing, so they have more to gain here.ScuderiaLeo wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026, 09:10I really doubt the macarena wing alone is going to do much. It was nice. The further we progress through the season, the better the teams will get at optimizing their strategy around overtaking, and it'll become increasingly tricky, but I think we'll keep that fun effect there is in the race. But that doesn't change what I think about the current cars in qualifying.
A month off? We need to push flat out. Mercedes were faster, they got a bit of luck with Kimi, but as I've been saying from the start, the championship will come down to development, and that's where we need to be better than the others. So I know there's a ton of work to do, we can't let our heads drop because even if we see that the gaps to Mercedes are big, development this year is moving very quickly. Things can swing one way or the other pretty fast, and we need to be on the right side of it. There's a lot of motivation at the factory and a lot of work, I hope it pays off starting from Miami!
I don't understand for me what happened on the first few laps, because it seems like I was down on quite a bit compared to others. But maybe it was just my impression and we were just deploying in different places. Especially in the first few laps it's hard to tell because everything is still getting to the optimal place. After that I had less of a [strange] feeling. We know that Mercedes has a big advantage over us here for the moment, and this is a focus, but we can't forget about the chassis too, the aerodynamics, the tires, and all of this, it all makes a difference. So the engine... we can't change it for now but in the meantime we need to improve absolutely every aspect of the car.
He will probably play the victim and report you to the mods. Be carefulvenkyhere wrote: ↑29 Mar 2026, 09:00@Platinum_Zealot !!!! how are you coping ?
