Kind of surprised by the return to waterslides; the only other car that has them (which extend all the way from the top of the sidepod down to be tangent to the floor) is Haas. Cadillac sort of as well but without the raised outboard bit. Alpine has a sort of pseudo-waterslide more akin to the mid-season SF-23 sidepods. The Merc, McLaren, and Ferrari have somewhat similar sidepods in that they are all downwashing with a huge undercut.

Not that uniqueness correlates to speed; I just find it interesting.

Insane level of intricacy. Explains that the slowness of this car is not down to aero. It's just overweight. I can see why they are not panicking.

Maybe the front wing has some work to do but the rest of the car looks AOK on aero and more importantly when they bring updates it either has no improvement or a loss. Weight is the main issue but I think there is something in the front suspension / steering geometry that needs fixing and certainly the gearbox needs to be sorted out as well because those are the 2 areas that the drivers seem to be complaining about and struggling with. The huge amounts of understeer is horrible.

Is it gearbox that they are complaining about or the gear shifts?

Looking at other photos from other sources the new front wing looks like it has less of a bulge under the central section in addition to the new bits on the end plate. I wonder if the front wings straight mode actuators have been slimmed and moved somewhere else.

Perhaps a reality check between the two type here before committing to race spec and spares build.

Obviously, it's more common on many other chassis this year, perhaps it'll bring that front bite MV seems to be looking for.

A shift like that can really light up a chassis performance that's so far been mediocre.

Well they are clearly running two different wings, one with the McLaren-style side winglet and one looks like the old spec without it. We can gather these are from the same test because both have the new sidepod.

Also allegedly a new rear wing opening mechanism (not the same as Ferrari). I can't tell on that one.

It looks as if it is raised during the opening movement. Very curious to see it in action!
Btw, we are sure that these pictures are real, right?
