Looks pretty much the same as before the break? Although Verstappen looks in better shape here so far.

Unfortunately their single lap pace is as well. But not in a good way for them!

Wow the signs were there in Japan but mega job from Mclaren  Ferrari have also significantly reduced that deficit to Mercedes too along with Red Bull, lets see how the race pace goes though.

Kimi is legit.
It’s why they booted Lewis and got him in.

looks like the battle is on - good to see. Leclerc made a mistake, otherwise he could have been up there as well.

That’s not my recollection of how that unfolded but nonetheless the choice to fill the seat with Kimi appears to have been the correct one. Kid has pace for days. He’s just gotta build that knowledge and consistency.

Isaack made many people very sad today, hopefully he picks up the pace tomorrow.

Will be interesting to see how Russell deals with being dominated by his team mate, something he never experienced in his F1 career.

It's interesting people still seem to think the teammate battles mean all that much with these cars.

Do people honestly think Kimi is honestly beating Russell on pure skill-related advantage?

Well, Kimi is 3-0 against GR at this track across 2 different generations of cars at this point in H2H qualifying sessions.
