Top effort by the team, they've done another Miami special. That said, Mercedes did still look very strong on race pace, so that's still an area of concern. Let's see how the sprint plays out, before getting too excited, but a great start, good step forward.

Race pace looked pretty bad...well behind Merc and also behind Ferrari and Max. but also looked like we didn't do any truly representative running

Depends on the culture inside Red Bull. If it is bad, maybe he wants out even on a non binding offer. Money could still be really good.
