Epic weekend in Spain. MM crashes next to the pits in the changing conditions to rain, and ends up taking the win in the sprint. Turns around and ditches it as soon as his brother passes him in the race lap 2, while he was trying to keep up for a few corners. He was loose every corner exit after his brother passed him. Pushing too hard. Factory Ducati double DNF. The season is completely open. What a fantastic series. It’s all F1 wants to be, but cannot due to politics and corporate influence.

And can I just add the play by play guys motoGP uses (Matt Birt and Louis Suddaby) in the American feed are absolutely awesome. A joy to listen to the entire race. Very educational. They remind me of Steve Matchett from back in the day in F1. They are knowledgeable, humorous, know the history of MotoGP, and they know all the competitor back stories and skill sets. They fundamentally understand the sport. They also respect the sport and this comes out in their play by play. A huge high-five to MotoGP. Another great weekend.

Both times there appeared to be no belief in potential, until Ducati, with perseverance, started to accumulate compounded gains that caused a real rethink.

Only the sprint was worth the price of admission. The GP? Well, the sooner we get to next year the better. Motomatters fellas summed it up best when they mentioned that by lap 4 of a 25 lap race, broadcast was focusing on the fight in the back half of the field. By lap 13, the GP became a slog.

If the changes to the 850s work, I may be more inclined to your opinion excluding flag to flag races which I hope we get more of this year.

However, the Moto2 boys finally put on a show that wasn't amateur this year and made a damn good show without being spread out.
