Miami track is not going to show how good the Ferrari car is. The track is awful but where the track flows a little bit the car looks solid. It’s little mistakes which is easily done in some of the very tight pathetic corners and the miniature chicane plus tyres are cooked at the end and understeer. Canada will be a better track to see where we are. I just hope the reg updates for the engine from Canada forward gets rid of the awful ramp down at end of straights then races will get more interesting and qualifying. Really don’t have my hopes up though. F1 went the wrong way with these engine regulations

Yup. He's just too slow to manage Charles at the moment. 27? Year old Vs 42 year old. 27 is going to be a few clicks faster. The only chance he has is if Ferrari is outright dominant and lucks into it with reliability or just race tactics. He won't do this on raw pace.

On the car and team. I am not enjoying the Ferrari experience so far. We are never the fastest. Even after upgrades we are still mediocre.

Personally I'm finding a lot of these comments laughable.
I am talking about the comments that go something like we are third best.
I say that because time and time again we get these reactions, be they positive or negative after a qualifying session.
The points are handed out in the sprints/races not in qualifying!
And we have seen over the years that a good qualifying car isn’t necessarily a good race car and vice versa!
The sprints/races will tell us were they are really at not qualifying!

we are 25-30hp down on power, due to the compression ratio trick
we have the best aerodynamic package and the best chassis
we will get 2 performance upgrades on ICE due to AUDO
so, this season isn't over yet!!

good effort from charles again, the pace between top4 is quite close, who gets in front has an advantage, staying behind somone means burning up the tyres.. i guess that close racing lasted for all but 2 races lol we back to parades now

This new engine can't come fast enough. With equal engines, Ferrari would be winning every race by a mile I think. Still, seems they have jumped Mercedes in race pace, maybe slightly behind McLaren based on the Sprint. Hope they can make some changes for the main race - I think they can compete at the front.

Who ever is behind cook's his tyres. We will know if and only if in qual they can jump the McLaren's how good is the car.

Lewis said bad setup and software still not working properly, mentioned he lost 3 tenths in the sprint quali just from the software and the team will have to try and fix it

Who thought Ferrari could overtake Mercedes here? Not me and they did, which is incredible. McLaren are great at updates and have the stronger engine so that’s an inherent advantage, but we were very close on pace and I think Charles could probably have gone with Lando if he had track position.

Let’s hope they can get on top of the softs in quali and get a front row seat - if so, I think we can at least fight for the win here.
