Third is in any case better than fourth. And regarding promises and hype, it was quite the opposite between mcLaren and Ferrari. McLaren have been the ones that spent bullish words regarding their updates ("A completely new car", "worth 4 tenths at least", "we'll soon grab wins on merit"). Ferrrari just anticipated they'd bring a very consistent package (which is a fact, their official update sheet lists 11 new elements) and actually Leclerc even claimed he thought it was not going to be enough to leapfrog Mercedes.
