I think Kimi always had the pace. He was pulling it back quickly at end of first stint. If Lando stopped first he may have hung on a bit longer, but it always looked likely Kimi would get it.

I feel like Lando will be underappreciated for this performance. Mercedes is clearly still the better car, yet he is keeping up with him and has 25s on his teammate at the moment.

I didn't expect as good of a race as this after that disappointing qualifying. Great job by the drivers.

I can't complain about the strategy, they did the opposite last race and it didn't work out. This time Kimi did his job perfectly by catching at the end of the stint.

Oh and 2.8 stop didn't help. That could have been the difference.

Unlike Verstappen, I don't think Antonelli will be guaranteed P2 or P3 at every race. If McLaren develops the fastest car they have a chance at both titles.

I think Stella mentioned that they do expect another step in Canada (but perhaps not as big I would expect).
It all depends on how significant Mercedes' package will be though, I agree. At the moment, Merc can probably run with it because they maintain a deg advantage.
