Yeah... with a not-in-open-state limited slip diff, the drive shaft must have suffered some twist, which must have misaligned/sheared the molecular lattice structure of the driveshaft ; which then, decided to carefully wait for 19-20 hrs, to then decide to fail structurally.PlatinumZealot wrote: β17 May 2026, 20:30Seems like (to me) Max's two wheels on grass overtake did damage to the driveshaft? ultimately leading to a DNF. Did you see Maro Engel a great driver, one of the best did the same thing as Max with his Mercedes, also on the grass but worse?
I just read this great comment:
"Apparently a car designed to survive more than 24 hours on one of the toughest, bumpiest tracks in the world
suddenly failed many hours later because a driver put a wheel on the grass for one second or made a tiny tap
(something that happens constantly in endurance racing) or G*d forbid he drove a couple seconds a lap quicker in an 8 minute lap.
Yeahβ¦ sureeee THAT broke the car! Just say you donβt like Max and get it over with."
Where are the "facts" that you're presenting ? Or claiming.PlatinumZealot wrote: β19 May 2026, 15:15He is biased.

Why but of course, I mean driveshafts are sold in the millions each day, because every time someone goes over a pothole, they tend to disintegrate.PlatinumZealot wrote: β17 May 2026, 20:30Seems like (to me) Max's two wheels on grass overtake did damage to the driveshaft? ultimately leading to a DNF.
