Isn't a roll hoop part of the monocoque? How is one of those changed?

Was reported by Jon noble originally does say chassis upgrade so could fall into that or it could be the additional carbon vents build around the roll hoop itself

Merc and McLaren were the quickest in Miami and they are bringing major upgrades to Canada. I don't see Max being up there for that reason.

There is an erroneous track map circulating. This is from the FIA. There are 4 SM zones.

If it was a new roll hoop the chassis would have to have gone through all the crash tests, so doubtful.

Looking ahead to the race at the Circuit Gilles Villeneuve, Goss explained how teams would be facing a major challenge on a circuit known for low-downforce and heavy braking with the new straight line active aerodynamic modes.

"The long straights of the circuit have traditionally led to teams choosing a lower downforce rear wing setting to shed drag and shift the priority towards maximising speed in a straight line," said Goss.

"However, with the 2026 regulations, the use of the Straight Mode active aerodynamic settings will drop the drag level significantly, and as a result we retain the standard rear wing level.

"This to some extent simplifies the engineering task and removes any difficult decisions on wing level, but with the complexities of matching chassis and power unit settings with different circuit characteristics, there is still much to do.
