Link on the previous page from Nugnes at motorsport said "Meanwhile, the engine and gearbox have been revving at Honda's dynamic bench in Japan, and the fine work being done in electronic management at Sakura should allow for a quantum leap in Montreal, a track that enhances stop-and-go qualities and where traction plays a role in performance. Will this be the first (small) turnaround? "
Alonso doesn't make mistakes.

I can't stand those comments from people who doesn't respect that.
there are a lot of people that have been waiting on him to fall off since that gp2 comment over a decade ago. they just keep waiting and waiting. thats why this whole aston martin honda forum has such a weird dynamic now. its us vs them just like mclaren honda was, because some people cant ever let something go.Sedaxel wrote: ↑23 May 2026, 02:14Exactly.

in the press meeting wednesday the honda track guy said that they found some things on the dyno relating to combustion and friction that they must improve. is it vague? yes, is it more than weve heard from them for the last 2 months, also yes.mzso wrote: ↑22 May 2026, 09:18Couldn't be more vague. I also found things they could improve on: power and vibrations.zoroastar wrote: ↑22 May 2026, 03:18
nachez is reporting that honda has "found something" that they must improve on in the power unit. sounds like a positive if true. i wish i could find the original honda statements. theyve been working on the programming of the gearbox that should improve the car this weekend. i havent seen anything about a spec b though
