The good news is parc ferme is released again because of the rain tomorrow. Max was adamant on the radio after qualifying that something is very wrong with his car. Strange.

Is that a new rule or something?

Yes because it's too complicated with the active aero and the ride heights between wet and dry. Cars would bottom without SM mode.

Good solid 0.3s of the pace, with new updates we can fight. Soon.

max: “yeah mate. i don't know there's something really wrong. you need to check this, this is not possible.”

mekies: “sorry max, we know it’s a frustrating one. we’ll have a look, it’s a painful but necessary data point.”

Then I dont understand why Mercedes changed their setup come quali, as Russell said, considering the forecast for Sunday.

It's important to qualify well. Toto said after the sprint qualy that they were expecting more from the updates. So they changed it to find more pace. It doesn't matter since they can change it again for Sunday.

Max was down on straight line speed for whatever reason.

From what he said post quali it sounded that they pursued wet weather setup, rather than dry single lap pace. Probably he talked rubbish again.

That sounds like a rather not so successful setup change/experiment...

Max engine is pretty old now while Isack's on newer compounds due to the more failures not?

Remember the slower you drive through the corners tha faster you go on the straights….in these cars.
