Imagine being George Russell right now:

You won the F2 championship, had to drive for one of the slowest teams for 3 years, you get the opportunity to drive one of the fastest cars in F1 history and almost won with it but was robbed due to a puncture, you finally get to Mercedes only for it to be all over the place, you went to toe-to-toe with Lewis Hamilton for 3 seasons and finally become team leader, Handley beat your rookie teammate last season, you finally get the fastest car on the grid just to come into this season expecting an easy championship only for this 19 year old teammate to give you a run for your money. And the 19 year old teammate is only going to get better through time.

It's not over until it's over I 100% agree, but man that's painful to think about.

Don't engage with them when it comes to Russell. They're one of those online haters so they're not impartial in any manner.

The writing is on the wall... George is going to have to be flawless through the rest of the season, needs couple of dnf's or more from Antonelli to get back into and needs a lot of luck to go with it. To beat Antonelli on pure pace... that's not going to be straight forward anymore.
