How many HP will get Honda for summer with ADUO (2 tokens this year i think)? 10-15 in an optimistic mode imo.
Honda is a shame
Yeah. They don't have a single update, the package is the same miserable one they had since the beginning.diffuser wrote: ↑28 May 2026, 20:28I think they got all the information they needed from the laps they did.TyreSlip wrote: ↑28 May 2026, 19:25There was a problem, hence, Alonso did not keep lapping with it. If the car had any chance at a sniff at the points, he would have endured the pain. Otherwise, it would be unprofessional of the team to injure a driver in a car that will finish 3 or 4 laps down.etusch wrote: ↑28 May 2026, 18:05No, no, it's not like that. If there's a problem, there's no reason to keep lapping with it. But if there's no problem, the more laps, the better. And you should finish the races.
What if everyone outside the points threshold withdrew, or didn't come at all because we can't get points anyway? That kind of thinking wouldn't be professional.
If today isn't the day to win, it's the day to prepare for the days when you will win.

Could this be another sign of his age is now becoming a serious impediment to being able to drive a Newey car? Keep in mind Newey cars are known to be very extreme when it comes to packaging. Imagine the irony if the 2027 car is a rocketship and poor old Alonso gets too many aches and pains and is unable to drive it.

I believe that when these guys say that Honda is down 85 to 100 HP. My understanding is that they're not talking solely about ICE. 100HP down on the ICE alone is about 25% of the ICE expected power output. They are talking about an average between the ICE and the MGU-K. They're also not talking specifically about the MKU-K being down on power but the lack of the PU's ability to recharge the battery. If all the other Manufactures can average 30 seconds of deployment per lap while your PU can only muster 15 seconds, that means everyone else has 15 seconds more of 360HP per lap. The ADUO is for ICE only, I doubt it's down that much power on the other manufactures ICEs. Last news about the deployment was that it would not be able to fully deploy and recharge till they they get the new PU mounts, sometime in the middle of the season. Probably with a new ICE.

I don't think you're understanding Krack's words properly.
What I have read is that the Honda ICE engine is making around 515HP which is below the target of 400kw proposed by the FIA. Audi is right on that target with 536hp, Ferrari slightly above with 550hp, Red Bull/Ford at 565hp, and Mercedes with the 18:1 compression trick out front with 575hp + .Then Honda cannot recharge the battery at 350kw either according to Newey , so if that isn’t fixed they are down around 100 hp a lap at times to the leaders, which after the first rounds of this year looks accurate. Down the long straight at Canada the Aston’s were noticeably slower than the leaders. Hopefully the ADOU will unlock at least 20-30hp to allow them to close the gap to Audi. But Audi might also be getting the ADOU themselves. The new B Spec chassis needs to be an amazing Newey masterpiece with this PU, to get this team anywhere near the points this year.diffuser wrote: ↑29 May 2026, 21:01I believe that when these guys say that Honda is down 85 to 100 HP. kracks words are out there for anyone to analyze but nowhere does he say that alonso is getting so old that his body cant take it anymore. thats what you came up with haha. to be fair, his point is still legitimate. they have different seats. 2 different sized guys with 2 different seat moldings. we can speculate all we want, but in this case, what good does it really do? to prove that an old guy has body aches? id be surprised if anyone over the age of 30 doesnt have themPlatinumZealot wrote: ↑30 May 2026, 00:22I don't think you're understanding Krack's words properly.
The seat for both drivers are both in a more extreme inclination due to the aerodynamic design direction by Newey. The pressure points on the driver has shifted because of that. Alonso's body can't take the bumps anymore when so reclined and they will now make his seat more upright.
Age could have something to do with this. See Lewis and Alonso in 2022 crying for their backs.

“You try, with these cars, to be as low as you can, and, when you look at how the drivers used to sit over the last few years, it goes more and more and more into a lying position, and we need to check whether we have done a step too far, but it’s something we need to check.”
In his eyes, it’s unlikely that Alonso will need a whole new seat fit done. “No, I don’t think so,” he said, “I think we need to reconsider, maybe a little bit, going back to how we have been in the past.”
