I do not know what a big press release for Newey's arrival has anything to do with a B-spec car being strategically withheld until the Honda upgrade.

Aston’s chassis is bad, the engine is prohibitively awful. The Honda is so bad and unreliable that it becomes almost impossible to develop the rest of the car.

Newey himself said it was the 5th best chassis , with the worse PU/ recovery/ harvesting and a gearbox that looks to be a huge issue as well. With zero real upgrades so far this season except making sure the car doesn’t rattle itself or the drivers to death, the least amount of running of all the major teams, it is no wonder this season is a disaster. I also think the ludicrous “By Design” marketing, introduction of the car, was really ridiculous now with the knowledge the team had on how shite the project was at that stage. 2027 should be the goal, not the second half of this season. The FIA needs to come out with the revised rules asap so this team can scrap this turd and try again. That means Honda and Aston working together to build a competitive car. Probably should let Honda build the damn gearbox as well ffs .

The car was seconds off the pace around Monaco , and could not pull 7th gear because of a lack of power. Alonso had a huge snap sideways coming out of the tunnel under braking, due to the crap gearbox and harvesting they have. That is ridiculous and shows how unsorted the car is as a package, not just how horrible the Honda PU is. It is everything as Alonso stated, not just the Honda lump. Making a B Spec of this car doesn’t seem like a good use of $$ and time. Scrap it and try again guys for 2027 so when you show up for preseason you might be able to run laps and collect data, unlike this year.

its an exaggeration most reliability issues were related to vibration .seat issue or whatever excuse aston come up with to retire the car.i think people are embarrassed to admit they were dead wrong about chassis

They basically doing this now and they will try again after the summer break. There, if they dont jump to the midfield, they will need close the doors and sell the company.

The "4th best chassis" on the grid at the least engine-dependent circuit is dead last. Meanwhile, a new team's car almost made it to Q2.

One question I leave here: How long will it take for people to admit that Newey and company completely screwed up with this car, whose problems go beyond the Honda PU, or are we going to blame everything on Honda because it's impossible for the "aerodynamics wizard" to design a bad car?
