Important points for the team, a 3rd would be massive. Hopefully this is has been our valley and we can see improvement from now on.

Out of curiosity. Is Hadjar under investigation or did he escape a possible penalty.
Think it’s this, which will probably be a team fine I guess

A fine for changing the setup illegally, and only reverting it since they got caught, would be extremely lenient

True, just used to everything seemingly being fines lately - but thinking about it could even be a dsq?

Maybe if they DSQ Kimi, Lewis and Hadjar has a penalty for Red Flag Oscar could win this "1000 race".
Sorry guys but this is pathetic. The team, the car, everything is way off the pace. I thought that we have passed the Honda 2015 nightmare, but for me is no change.

"Actually, I'm even glad to be out of the race." This is so brutal from Lando and shows how bad MCL40 is. And they stopped MCL39 development to work on this piece of....no words needed.

While I understand what you feel about the car a penalty is still a penalty and if RB did try to change the car illegally they should pay the price.

Right....from the couch perspective it is really easy to have such an opinion.

I guess everyone else of us that arent living in the wonderland we kind of knew that it will be nearly a mission impossible for them to make a race winning car in the first season of the new ruleset. Being handicaped with smaller windtunnell allocation, being even screwed by the Merc itself right before the start and with ADUO rules that will give a team like a Ferrari a free pass to catch up in terms of engine power it is really not so surprising they are struggling....as a 4th, 3rd and even as a 2nd team on a race weekend.

If we survived Honda times, we are probably gonna survive being 3rd or 4th in the standings...
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, so I respect yours. Just a small mention, which I wouldn't have brought up otherwise: the race wasn't watched from the comfort of a couch. I had the honor of working in the team that handled the MCL39's cooling system in 2025, being directly involved in the preparation for the Mexican Grand Prix. The Monaco race was watched alongside some of my colleagues in Cologne, where we are based. So yes, perhaps partly out of sentimentality, we wished for a step forward this year. However, I am sure that those who work non-stop (just as we did last year) on the MCL40 will manage to overcome all obstacles, and Lando and Oscar will have at their disposal a car worthy of the McLaren name. Cheers mate!

Wow they get caught trying to change spark plugs and it's forgiven but happy for Hadjar, he worked hard for it.

A bummer about ADUO for them.

I get it now why you are more riled up, and i fully respect it - especially as you are an expert individual that has worked on the car and your contribution helped the team to achieve both championships - for this i salute you and i would like to thank you as well. As being a Mclaren fan that started watching in 98ish you can imagine how much joy brought me the 24 and 25 season and seeing the team claim titles after so much turbulence.

As you said, they will get to the bottom of things sooner or later. Right now things are as they are. Not great? Absolutely. Disastrous? Not really, atleast not jet.

I would love to see them collecting those wins again, hopefully as soon as possible.

Well, I think we need to change our perspective on the MCL40. We have just found out that the Mercedes isn’t the bench mark PU, it’s the second best so chassis wise McLaren have done alright so far considering.
