This "I lifted for yellow" excuse was always bad for me. Verstappen used to do it often and it never sit right for me because they risk accidents. But the precedent was set, this might stand.

I don't understand how they don't plan for three laps in Q3 at this circuit. It is a such a shot lap that it can be done. Hamilton would have taken pole if he had a banker but that was still a brilliant performance from him. It should be a good race tomorrow.

I watched Russell's onboard footage, and unfortunately, the decision to let his lap stand is correct.

When Verstappen crashed, the marshals only displayed a single yellow flag at the corner, and Russell literally lifted off the throttle the bare minimum required by the rules. The mistake itself was made by the marshals in showing only a single yellow flag instead of a double yellow, which would have forced Russell to abort his lap.

It is set up to be a great race. I see it as a four-way battle. Antonelli and Hamilton are full of confidence at the moment and I expect them to feature prominently in the race if they get off the line well.

I’m not mad we didn’t get a 1-2 today. In fact, were it not for Verstappen’s crash, it would have been an easy Mercedes 1-2, with Russell well ahead of us, with Verstappen very close if he had nailed that lap.

Tomorrow is going to be a tough race. Mercedes clearly has a considerable advantage over Ferrari and Verstappen will come like a mad man behind. A podium will be a win for us.

Mercedes was much quicker but decent pace from Ferrari(the car). I was expecting a lot from from Leclerc, though, very poor pace from him imho
