I think Ferrari need to act decisively and have Leclerc as a number 2, helping to support the much needed WDC for the team.

If they leave it until later in the season it will be too late. It needs to be now while Mercedes are infighting.

if you look at data, you see merc are sandbagging heavly, they have too much pace there no way ferrari winning anything this season other than few podium and maybe few wins.. i don't see the point of making move like that it will only make bad vibes within the team and unnecessary drama

Lewis Hamilton became the de facto number 1 driver at Ferrari the moment he signed that mega contract with a much higher salary than his teammate, so no need to harass the team for doing anything, it’s “baked in”

Until Ferrari has proper engine there is no chance of championship for Ferrari

Ferrari 1 & 3 on a power circuit in FP..... Championship is Mercedes' to lose, but Ferrari are definitely hot on their heels.

Since everyone else was in lower PU mode, a rude surprise might be coming, in SQ and Sprint,
I hope not, but nevertheless..

I thought Hamilton was washed, but it goes to show how much the team and engineers can aid a driver.
I remember when Lewis was losing badly to Russell and someone asked Alonso his thoughts on Lewis struggling at Merc, he basically said that behind the scenes things and who the team is listening too makes a difference to how a driver looks

Lewis is known to be a mega quantity here. I think there's more time to unlock with the Mercs as Lewis qualified only a 100th ahead of Antonelli. No disrespect to Antonelli, rather, I'm saying he's yet to peak.

In summary, I'm very weary of the Mercs as the weekend unfolds.
