What happened to Max there...?

Lost the rear on corner entry by the replay. "F*ck this car" on the radio after ending in the gravel...
It looked like some failure to me, the way it happened at the entrance of the corner, weird.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, what a joke. Very sad............

Seems the active aero again. Airflow doesn't re-attach quick enough so you turn in without any rear DF.

Yeah looks like something failed at the rear of the car. The very moment the wing closes the car compresses down but then unexpectedly jumps up again.

And yet another proof red bull builds cars only Max can drive.

Seems pretty undrivable for Verstappen..... The car is very unstable, I highly doubt that was build like that on purpose!

Terrible result. The race in itself was disappointing with a subpar pace but could have turned into a podium by a well time VSC pitstop, but then it happenned.

All the optimism after RB ring is immediately gone and now seeing how Max hate this car, it's extremely doubtful something can be salvaged this season. This update was the last joker to try having a Mclaren moment and turn the season. But it's still slow and now create crashes.

Very sad.

Yes indeed, for me every podium this year feels like a victory.

Maybe that rotating wing is just too slow to reattach in some situations.

That better be solved for Spa.
You don't want that kind of problems there

Even Toto saw what happened at the Red Bull Ring for what it was. In short: it was all Max. He’d been winning there long before 2021 in a vastly inferior car. His teammates, meanwhile, couldn’t even get on the podium.

Looking at Norris pace during Sprint and also the pace he was maintaining in super old medium on the first stint during the race — I think he underdrove that car massively there, I’d say Mclaren was the faster car this weekend.

that car is dangerous

Max lost (ie declined) Mercedes' train and that could prove extremely harmful

Yeah, Hadjar´s race pace has not been remarkable. I was expecting better pace from the car, though, after Austria. I thought they would have understood the upgrades better and would challenge Ferrari more but that was not the case.

Btw, they stopped Max way too early, what was the reason for it ? another bad call from Hannah Schimch?

Average race pace (after removing non representative laps) :
ANT - unrepresentative since he drove many laps with damaged car
LEC - 93.779
RUS - 93.997
HAM - 94.039
VER - 94.064

VER had really good race pace, considering the sub-optimal, unbalanced car without setup/PU change from Quali. He was on for P3. Pity it was the same rear wing issue as Austria.

Novice Q :
- How is the SLM mode deactivated ?
Brake application or manual button press ?

The pace seems improved under race conditions as I would rate Silverstone as one of the weakest tracks for this car.
Spa will be again a challenge.
