I unfortunately agree with this. Mekies is no good and the ADUO decision is proof of how much Red Bull miss Christian. There is no way in hell that Christian would have let that decision have been made. Without Christian it has been easy for Toto running over the rest of the teams in political decisions. Since Mintzlaff started to take control of the team post the death of Mateschitz it has been on a downhill spiral.
I still can't understand how Mekies keeps falling uphill. The TP position at RBR was THE top job on the grid at the time. What has he done in the sport to make anyone believe he could do it? Alan Permaine would have been better.

Or they should have thrown a big bag of cash at Wheatley.
F1 TP is not some merit based job. He is just a puppet appointee of the new corporate Red Bull. He won't do things that are not in Mintzlaffs interests.

The racing team has long been dead. This is whatever.
And yet the most successful teams all had or have very good TPs. And once they left for any reason, all those teams took a down turn in results with a subpar successor.

It's honestly not right after all his success, that Horner had no equity in the team. The true succession plan should have been to split the team 3 ways before his death : Horner, Newey and Wheatley. Marko was and is too old to feature in this.

Max staying for 2030 means he remaina de-facto number one in the RedBull bubble. He misses out on the chance to prove himself in another team against another number one driver. Would have love to seen that.

Horner was the decline. He got drunk on success around 2023 and started making mistakes. He should have been busy tending to issues like Rob Marshall and the worsening correlation of the car, but instead he was busy trying to hump his own assistant. Through his actions he lost his authority within the team and the paddock, and expedited the departure of many top names. Moving on from him was the right choice.

Whether Mekies is the right replacement will reveal itself in due course. He has a different style than Horner that's for sure, much more discrete. But just because he isn't shouting in the media doesn't mean things aren't happening behind the scenes. He has the best driver under contract now, they seem to have the right engine department, so now the aero side needs to prove itself under his leadership.

The improved version of Red Bull's rotating wing from the Hungarian GP has apparently passed the test, as the Bulls will be using that very specimen in the Netherlands.

His best shot at driving whatever he wants outside of F1 is probably Redbull as well. The other top teams with the exception of the Mclaren letting Alonso go to Indy have shown they have their drivers on a very shot leash for non F1 driving activities. With the Ford connection he can basically do one offs in most major series around the world now

I hear that Max Verstappen is set to earn an annual salary of 92 million euros starting in 2027 at Red Bull Racing, plus bonuses that will allow him to reach 115 million euros per season.

That's a total agreement worth 460 million euros.

They are probably spending close to the driver salary that McLaren, Mercedes and Ferrari spend together haha.

The movement has confirmed the ADUO theory. Verstappen knew that they cannot compete without ADUO. Now he says they will compete next year. Mekies said they will be on "equal footing" next year. Tombazi spoke of "corrections". Choice words.

The movement?

Like I said above, Mekies has his own way of doing things. Just because he didn’t cause a media frenzy about ADUO we shouldn’t interpret that as him sitting on his hands.

Yeah, no performance updates this week, should be the clear 4th fastest by a decent amount considering that MCL and FER have brought pretty sizeable updates.
