Lando's lap without traffic would have been P1.

Also got the impression that he wasn't really pushing
Oscar needs to close the gap though

Four cars in 0.1...Nice. Not the best places on the grid with P2 and P4, being on the (very) dusty part of the track, but a good place to build from. Good job McLaren.

The team seems to be competitive in a second time in a row. While I think its too late now to challenge for a title, nevertheless we got to keep pushing in order to do some victories and have the best car by far by the end of the season.

Guys looked super comfortable in SQ1 and SQ2. A shame Russell pipped them but this is a good result. Lets beat him off the line tomorrow and learn a lot for the race.

Did Norris lose time in sector 1? Saw on tv that an alpine was in front but haven’t seen any telemetry if it cost him anything.
Let’s hope for a good start from both cars tomorrow!

They probably turned down the chance to change the ratios due to the cost cap

VERY INTERESTING

This is what I was saying to you after the last race.

Imola will be a nice test for the upgrades.

We may well be quicker than Merc here. It's important to remember that SQ on a sprint weekend can be a lot more variable than a normal Q due to having less data.

Sprints are harder this year due to the amount of data they need to optimise the engine mapping.

Did they test the macarena in FP1? I haven't seen any reports. It would make sense to focus on the sprint weekend because of the chance of a win.
