Chassis upgrade was clear.

Engine update is not. Barely no progress for now

They can’t do anything if they lose 1+s with the engine even develop the chassis.

So let’s hope for some miracle for 2027…

Turn 13 acceleration to main straight is atrocious.

Agreed, it's a setup or suspension thing though, not the PU.
Highly disagree. Please have a look at telemetry. Where do you see mechanical grip being bad?

Sorry, I should have been clearer. I was talking about Sector 3, so from Turn 12 onwards. Obviously, there is a power deficit compared with the best ICE, so maybe I should have said it wasn’t just about power.

I was also thinking about the cars Alonso was trying to pass in the Sprint race, not the Racing Bulls. Even there, if you look at the throttle chart, you can see that Alonso is later and less aggressive on the throttle out of Turns 12 and 13. That’s because he lacks traction. So he starts off behind, gets on the throttle later, and is less aggressive, which means it’s normal for him to fall further behind initially, before the extra power later takes over.

Think about it: they have less power, but they’re also later and less aggressive on the throttle.

Lacking horsepower on all the straights, and on the last one they have no deplyment left. Hopefully the rumours about Honda only running 15 out of the 30 extra hp is true.

You mentioned the high winds during the sprint, but it was the same conditions for everyone. Unlike in Hungary when the car still had some understeer, the updated car with new front wing/floor now shows characteristics of unpredictable oversteer. The inconsistent downshifts and throttle response from the engine software is also not helping matters.

Graph shows Ice is much weaker than RB engine and poor traction/confidence out of slower corners.
