I said that the moment he gets his first title he's gonna be another man and personally Im waiting those who called him mediocre and an unworthy champion to apologise (but then again I dont think they have the guts to do that and admit being wrong).

Teams have already said why getting laps in the FPs is so important for developing engine mappings.

A fair portion of that move forward will be how and when to get the power down.

Isn't that a BIT too early to declare halfway into the season?

Mercedes has an upgrade package akin to Aston Martin's Hungary kit coming in either Malaysia or Singapore (their last proper development was deployed in May!)

Yeah that Aston Martin package probably not the one to name as a game changer.

McLaren development is showing to be great, if Mercedes goes fastest again it is unlikely it will be further ahead then when they started the season.

I'll believe this when I see it. It wouldn't be the first time for Allison to be overly cocky and then being forced to eat his words.

The thing for me what Allison said. IF Merc have a big upgrade package coming and are finding half a second a month- McLaren and all the other teams are finding that too.
If McLaren take another upgrade to Baku which is supposedly another ‘substantial’ one- Merc will need a significant package to stay at the front.
