It is not bad - it is atrocious. With a decent PU, this car would be best of the rest.

With a 10 lap tyre delta on new softs. I would trust Alonso and his racecraft to find a way.
At a track that is notoriously hard to pass with HP deficit?

I think you're a little too ambitious.
Alonso was killing them in turns 9 and 10. With 10 lap fresher softs, I think he would have done wonders like he did in those corners yesterday in the sprint.

Happy Alonso still held on at the end, but I think he would have had the same result on fresh softs.
Dreaming, they couldn't pass one car with a 12 lap edge in tires and having faster tires(soft and medium) but he would have passed 2. Those 2 cars were faster in this race, like I said Alonso was only ahead of them cause of Sainz.

Old man has done it again. Somehow manages to pop his name up this season as well, in spite of driving a complete sh*tbox.

Chris Cronin made a huge mistake by telling Alonso not to pit.
Time for an apology
Right... coming from the person who is always the first to judge and lambast Alonso without knowing the circumstances.

And Pedro Delarosa says car is still 10kg overweight and plan is to get to minimum in next 2 GP.
That's 0.6 more.

Have you ever thought about telling us something new? You don't think anybody here knows about the power deficit? It is what it is. The PU has obviously gotten lot better, especially in Race trim. I'm sure it will keep improving, not sure how coming here and shiiting all over it adds any value to this forum.

I will go back and watch Stroll's inboard, but if I had to suspect, they tried an offbeat tyre strategy like they did at Hungary but he got stuck in a train with the hards and could go nowhere.

I think the improvement is obvious. Very happy for the team and for Alo. New driving masterclass by the oldie.

But the points were not only for own merits. Several things happened (Versttapen out, some luck on safety cars, smart strategy...).

But in general... Hell.. now the car can fight in the mid zone, the difference is enormous! Let's hope they keep on scratching tenths here and there!

I read that 10kg was only about 0.3 tenths, but that is still a lot of crucial lap time.

It feels like the car might finish the season as the fifth fastest car, assuming honda indeed has another 10-15 horsepower in the tank with this ADUO upgrade, as has been rumoured. If Aston also has 10kg of additional weight to save, that’s another massive chunk of free performance.

I really hope Alonso gets another chance at that number 33 in 2027. No one deserves it more.

They switch the Engine Maps to "race 4". That seemed to add about 10 km/hr down the straight. He was seeing 312-316km/h after the switch to race 4.

He did that thing where he doesn't come out of 7th down on the straight on the last 3ird of the stint on softs. Think it helps tire wear alot, especially on a full tank of fuel and he doesn't seem to lose much lap time, maybe a 10th.
