Lando has been impressive this year. He has been more clinical this year also, and got the moves done today. Seems like the only thing that he hasn't been able to fix is lap 1 and his starts.

Ironic that the last Dutch GP (for now, at least) actually ended up being a decent race.

Lewis was never getting past George with that engine deficit on the long straight just like he couldn't get past Kimi in Hungary on the straight, needed to try the overtake somewhere else on the lap. It is what it is.

He had perfectly set up George for that overtake in the last chicane and he was the closest he could have been on the straight, yes Mercedes engine is faster but lets be real VSC robbed him of that overtake. Also one can argue that he got there because of his VSC stop but man that timing sucked.

Wtf is George doing?

He should be fighting kimi to get back into the championship fight, not stepping aside for him.

Career over for Russell, confirmed no2.
Russell showed super loser mentality today. First at the initial start he went over to defend against Piastri (a nobody in the WDC) instead of defending against Antonelli.

Then allowed himself to be dummied into moving over for Antonelli, that is a 6 points swing he just gifted to his teammate.

I hope lovers of "clear number 1 teams" loved that move and implications for the championship.

Decent race, Zandvoort does bring something different to the calendar and the cars look fantastic on the curves and crests. It’s a shame it’s dropping off the calendar but the place is hardly prawn sandwich eater friendly.

Who knows. FOM don’t seem to have venues queuing up quite the way they did a couple of years ago. Dropping to less than 24 races now would be a bit of an embarrassment.

also leclerc cost ham that podium after holding him up after the first stops. that was exactly the time difference at the end.

I did not quite understand why did they swap ANT and RUS? Kimi pitted and ended up behind RUS, nothing weird about that. Why not let RUS defend? Silver rules I guess.

would be back to normal IMO... FOM dug themselves into a hole with too many races to cater to the american/dts crowd with a race a week

They are doing "clear number 1" strategy. Russell can forget about challenging Antonelli.

You guys will be begging for "papaya rules" to be back.

They were sending Russell a message.

A little public embarrassment for his troubles. I wouldn't be surprised if they start calling him Valterri over the radio now.

He was just over 4 tenths back when the VSC was deployed, had that gap a few times but the Mercedes engine was too much, need 2-3 tenths gap which is what he had when he got past Oscar also powered by Mercedes.
