Antonelli’s fifth power unit will not include the ADUO upgrades. Mercedes has approval to introduce an upgraded PU, but it won’t make its debut until the American leg of the season in October, either in Austin or Mexico City. That means both Antonelli and Russell will end up using six power units across the full championship.
That will be a nice boost on top of the Malaysia aero package. At the expense of more penalties. It’s correct, and it’s a fact… I was lucky enough to talk to Kimi (3min), and he confirmed it!! I asked him a few specific questions
