Just watched the qualy and I cannot believe Piastri can be this daft. Through his actions on that last lap he was never going to give Norris the tow. It’s a shame but it seems that he prioritises his personal vendetta rather than the team.
Norris had his fair share of issues with the car and he was not getting pole but P9 is a complete blunder for the team.

Let’s hope for some good pace tomorrow and a good recovery drive from both

Piastri in his post quali presser said he was .2s down on his previous lap heading into T1 so he pushed the braking point a bit further, and then he locked up. My brother in Christ, why are you even trying to beat a lap time you set with a massive tow when there are no cars infront of you and you're there to give Norris a tow? He can't really be that stupid can he?

My stocks for Oscar were pretty high even after last season, but now we can all admire that Norris is simply better and I think it is quite hard for Oscar to accept. So being 2 tenths down in turn 1 and knowing that Norris is probbably in form of his life, it is easy decision to brake late and try to maximaise his lap time or just overcooke it and bail out of it. If he did not bail out of it in turn 1 he would do the same thing in every other chichane, so there is 50/50 chance in every corner that Oscar is going to overcook it. His intetion was never to give Norris slipstream, even more at the moment wheen he was first car on the track.

I was hoping that Piastri is not like Webber (yes, I know it's a reach in some ways)- but he could have easily towed Norris after actually having a faster exit from the corner he cut at least until the chicane, probably much further. Though I guess this topic could run forever

Imo Lando will not need team orders to get in front of Oscar. He is faster also this weekend and in some laps will pass Oscar on track. Not very high expectation from this race but a P3-P4-P5 is achievable.

Not a fan of Piastri but I wouldn't say he has a vendetta against anyone. He seems to see Lando as his only rival in races, particularly the start. Two years ago at Monza he was so focused on getting past Lando he almost took them both out, and would have if Lando hadn't got out of his way sharpish, and that gifted Charles a Monza win.

Looking forward to the race, start is going to be interesting between these two. Lando is right behind Oscar.
