It's absolutely very very badly managed by McLaren though. Lando had very good pace for some reason on old hards. He could have had a shot at Max. And look at this, they end up with Lando P4 anyway but with zero trouble for Max.

They have to let go of this equal treatment bullsh*t honestly. At least not when they're not both fighting for a title.

The team should be more direct and clear. Why allow Verstappen to run away? Make them not fight each other if they are close to a guy in front and opportunity is there. If there is 10 laps left give clear instructions, Oscar has 4 laps to try and overtake if he can't, we swap and you try. Lando got P4 in the end. Such a shame we couldn't get VER and finish P3-P4.

The pace wasn't that bad. WDC is unreachable because Russell is so weak so ANT gets all the points.

I don't blame Piastri for not moving over by himself, you're right in that's the team failing. But he shouldn't put his teammate on the grass. And yeah, time for the team to grow some balls and move the slower driver out of the way, instead of risking at worst a double dnf because of our lads fighting.

And 3 years of such weekends. I'm beyond done with the man. But hey, at least for once he didn't finish 30 seconds behind Norris.

It's not just this move, it's a whole weekend of episodes.

The team is to blame. They can't expect Piastri and Norris to convene during the race and find an optimal way past Verstappen. The team needs to understand that beating other teams is higher priority and they need to communicate with the drivers.

Verstappen was unable to break away and Piastri overtook him already. I am sure there would be more opportunities to do so. So instead of team saying to both drivers let's drive in formation so Piastri can overtake (or 4 laps later let's switch) they just let them start fighting, Norris overtakes Piastri and then Piastri has to immediately yoyo back which loses them a second a lap and you get Verstappen easily run away.

The team needs to manage this. I do feel Piastri defends harder against Norris than against anyone else, but the team can choose to manage this better.

No. First Norris goes right and Piastri drifts right to cover so Norris ducks left to go into the gap that was opening up and Piastri moves back left and forces Norris off the track. You can't move both directions
