Is it just me that thinks Piastri clipped his tyre and it might have deflated or something?

Honestly, for me, Hamilton's WDC chances ended today.

If Ferrari is still thinking of prioritizing Hamilton, demoting Leclerc to second driver, it's already too late for that. Any team order will be more about preventing Leclerc from killing Hamilton on the track with his ego and at least keeping the fight for P2 in the WCC, which is even proving difficult with McLaren's improvement.
Forget Hamilton, any team with two No 1 drivers is not going to win the WDC unless they have a dominant car, see 2024 as example.

Charles and Lewis are too equal.

Lewis got his preferred brakes fitted and it took Charles two races to get on top of them and start beating him again.

You will have to change the team drivers if Ferrari cannot make a dominant car, and waiting for that won't be in Hamiltons favour.

All this driver ying-yang and yet again we see the team dissapointing on trackside and engine side, there is no way Hamilton has a shot on WDC with Mercedes being this strong. Lets not even go on how they get an ADUO out of this.

So stop this driver infighting, just like Vanja predicted before Hamilton starting to drive for Ferrari, this thread will become a cesspoll and without surprise to anyone, it did. This is a thread for Ferrari fans, and not for "measuring my driver" contest.
The engine improvement is still good. We didn't do bad on a track like this which is our worst case scenario. I still see us winning some more races... Well until the Mercedes update comes out and obliterates everone else.

Hamilton was very aggressive with his divebomb at T1, so he got the same treatment at T2.
Leclerc stayed on the racing line like any other driver would do. Lewis should have backed off like Piastri did with Max. Palmer and Coulthard said exactly the same thing.
I suppose it’s a tough job for you, coming here every race weekend and digging through a folder of excuses to defend him. As always, it’s never his fault. It’s always the fault of the brakes, the tires, the team, or the other drivers. "Il Predestinato" is incapable of doing anything wrong.

By the way, I’m not interested in hearing arguments. Leclerc pushed Hamilton off the track in an unnecessary move, then ruined his own race with a rookie mistake, and nothing is going to make me think otherwise.

I’ve always valued Palmer’s analyses, as he’s always accurately captured what’s happening on the track, so I’ll stick with this expert’s opinion.

They need to sit down and speak. They must decide something that will help the team. If they decide they need to back Hamilton up so be it but in no way this risk in the 1st corner of the race must happen again. They must respect the starting order for a few laps at least and if one of the two is faster, it will be revealed itself in the race and the team will give the swap order. This amateurish thing must stop now.

Rosberg said 100 percent Leclerc's fault as he left no space and considering Palmer was a midfield driver and Rosberg is a champion I would take his opinion over Palmer's. But at this point it's too late. They lost everything.

Ferrari don't have two number 1 drivers. They have a 7x WDC in 1 car and a pretender in the other who crashes too much. They can't sack him because of sentiment. Being quick on a qualy lap does not make a WDC and Leclerc's deficiencies both in his ability to lead the team and to simply bring the car back with the wheels attached are being laid bare this year. Leclerc's story has been romanticized to the heavens and that's why guys here like deadhead keep memory holing Leclerc's error rate and trying to claim he's a consistent driver while making digs at Hamilton and other WDCs every other day (he likes to claim anybody can be WDC and Leclerc "just doesn't have the car"). Hamilton is old enough to be Antonelli's uncle and leads "prime Leclerc" in the points and has simply been the better driver. That is what Leclerc's career is worth today. It's harsh, but it's true. People need a reality check about Charles Leclerc and winning a random British GP or a random GP in the 2nd half doesn't invalidate this.

This is the result of a team managed by literal clowns.
If you want to bet on Hamilton just hire a pure second driver like Bottas or whatever. Leclerc should have been fired immediately. Leclerc Hamilton is the worst driver pair in the entire grid.

Having said that Hamilton will never win against Max or Antonelli, so yeah. Also, next year McLaren will completely destroy Ferrari with their significantly better aero team.

Rosberg also smacked the crap out of Brundle who seems to think we are still using rules from the 80' and 90's.

You well know your car and your teammate are the top 2 indicators of WDC success in F1?

How many WCC cars has Charles had? None
How many WCC cars has Hamilton had? 8

If Ferrari had a dominant car last year, Charles would have absolutely walked the WDC, but the car wasn't there.

A statement of yours holds no weight when a driver hasn't been in a WDC winning position and especially when Charles has won completely vs Lewis last season.

As it is this year, in a car that Lewis likes and brakes that Charles had to get used to, he is only 36 points ahead with no
DNF's.

Just realized that Norris is only 20 points behind Hamilton despite 3 mechanical failure to zero.
Soon Ferrari will be completely demolished by McL.

Is there any news in this? I thought he starts the first race with this mindset by default :D
The only thing more hilarious will be when Charles gets ahead of him in points and Ferrari decides to "back one driver"

This aged well.

It’s slowly becoming apparent that Hamilton is very much used to getting special treatment compared to his teammates.

Entitled with lack of self awareness.

“What do you think about MS’s tribute?”

“Well I have 7 stars as well so that’s cool.”

It’s not about you..
