I mean to those saying team orders..

The team orders today should have been;

Lewis, you got outqualified, no heroics on the first lap. If you are faster, we will swap the cars during the race.

That's it.
It should be for both of them all the time (irrespective of championship standings): don’t fight your team mate. That’s it. If your team mate is the one in front of you, we’ll decide the order, you don’t fight each other. They’re always costing each other time/places because they’re on the same piece of tarmac at the same time and, given that, they need to just fall in line. I’m sick of them both putting themselves above the team.

That said, the operational team are just as bad and need a similar kick. It’s appalling execution for the last 3 races and if you keep doing the same thing and expect different results, you’re insane.

Charles does it all the time, telling Lewis he isn't allowed to make clean passes is BS.
I mean, you are asking for team orders. Team orders are not fair just by principle alone.
I didn't ask for team orders.

This is the result of a team managed by literal clowns.
If you want to bet on Hamilton just hire a pure second driver like Bottas or whatever. Leclerc should have been fired immediately. Leclerc Hamilton is the worst driver pair in the entire grid.
It’s an interesting point - you could argue that, if they were going to sign Hamilton, it would have made more sense to keep Sainz as his partner - still very fast and good but more likely to slot in behind on pure performance.

But my argument would be not to have signed Lewis at all - if they had got him 10 years earlier, great, but at this stage you needed to leave the team alone unless you could get Max. They now need to think about if they can get Kimi after he wins a couple of championships with Mercedes and built the team around him. No point getting these guys after they’ve peaked.
Hamilton was never going to leave Mercedes as they were 1s quicker than Ferrari 10 years ago.
Ferrari is managed by incompetents frauds. You want to bet on Hamilton? Just hire a clueless second driver. In any event, it doesn't really matter. There was no pace in the car so what happened earlier had a very small impact overall.
Yes, that’s what I said - *if* you want to bet on Hamilton, I agree.

No, they wouldn’t and couldn’t get Hamilton 10 years ago, so don’t do it now that he’s no longer the fastest guy out there. Focus on getting the best driver with the most future upside (like, I don’t know, the Italian guy who grew up in the country where F1 is Ferrari…)

Those that are asking for them, this is what team orders looks like for the race.

The point of team orders is to maximize points score toward wdc. Leclerc being behind on points and then further binning the car suggests that he should've been playing second fiddle.
Only those with an agenda would see this differently.

Didn't Hamilton offer to let Leclerc by in China of 25 in the best interest of the team? He's not at his best age-wise but he has his priorities right. Prime Hamilton would've broken Leclerc.

Picking up on two comments that Lewis has said after the race;

"If we had just held those two positions, we would have been in a much better position"

And then responding to Charles saying "we went too far" he says;

"I was ahead in turn 2, by the Apex, I was ahead, so there was no "we" in it?

So what does he want?

Does he want to race as a team? If so, he holds position as he just said above.

And if he doesn't want to race as a team and thus attacks Charles in the first corner, why is he putting all the blame on Leclerc?

And Hamilton should not have left Mercedes. I remember being extremely infuriated when the move was announced. All he had to do is continue to milk Toto for 1 year contracts. He would be in good position to get his 8th wdc now. Anyways he’s made me a Ferrari fan and it’s been so painful just like I thought it would be. The decision not to pit under vsc completely did it for me. That team is just full of clowns at the pitwall and they have no idea how to race. Frankly appalling.

I am not sure the Leclerc crash was his fault.
If you look at the replay, he does not go as wide as some other cars, but his car still looses its rear.
I think the chances are very high it was a deployment problem. The engine unexpectedly deployed more than expected.

If you look at the previous few straights, he was surprisingly slow, just like when the engine again unexpectedly starts to do a lots of recharge instead of deploying power.
So this makes the case again stronger, that his engine was already in some weird mode. And that then it released too much power and too early in that corner.

Ferrari has a new engine, they had deployment and recharge problems with it during qualy too in Q2.
Probably they have new mappings and programmes, and it was unreliable.
And this is not the first case this happens to Ferrari or even other teams this year.
The software gets confused where the car is at the track and recharges where it should not and deploys where it shall not.

I hear you🫤🫤🫤. Saddle up for continued Ferrari pain next year too. They can't even acknowledge that their operational deficiencies in order to set them up for success.

Monaco, Spain, and another one today...none were his fault 🙄.

I didn't watch the race live, had to watch it deffered, and after lap1, I knew this thread will be entertaining today. And it is, thanks all of you. What makes the thread 'super fun' is the amount of self-belief : 'I will convince the guy who wrote the above post (which I vehemently disagree with), with tit-for-tat-reminders-about-incidents/mistakes/moves-from-previous-races, and bully him into submission and subvert his mind to replace his own viewpoint with mine'. Keep it going guys...

Can't wait to see Ferrari renewing Hamilton contract as well so they will keep this embarrassing pair for 2027 and 2028. It's going to be quite hilarious.

The issue is bigger than Lewis and Charles, though Charles is much to blame for his overall year, can’t destroy the car 4 times in 13 races. Just can’t do it.

Bigger issue is Fred. Does the man have a backbone? Would have taken one incident and Toto would have squashed it. Look how Mercedes is operating this year with team orders when needs be. Mercedes leadership commands respect, simple! Ferrari leadership is flat out the laughingstock of the paddock, simply because there isn’t any. Fred’s done a nice job to a point, opening up lines of communication between different departments, making some nice hires, but he hasn’t been able to overcome the Ferrari politics and take real leadership within the team, making tough decisions, and it’s ultimately left us where we are currently at. Real shame.

Lewis thinks its pretty much done now as well

He could simply lift a bit in 2nd corner and he would had been fine keeping his place in 1st lap at least. He is not 18 years old and from all the grid he is a 7 time world champion and knows this better than any of us here. If he was faster he could had pass or team orders would had come. I see excuses constantly.
He did pass lol.

Contrary to what Crofty and Brundle immediately and incorrectly stated,.Nico Rosberg just put them in their place and explained that the rule state that once you are in his position, the inside car does not have the right to take you off the track.

Lewis made a clean pass, did not crowd Charles off the track, and simply expected his team mate to follow the rules and not put him in the gravel.

I dont think theres anything more to it. Charles already called it an error. He knows he shouldn't have put Lewis in the gravel.

I doubt anyone at Ferrari is more mad at Lewis that he tried to make (and did make) a clean pass, than they are at Charles for effectively ruining the race for their entire team with two seperate errors.

That said, I wouldnt be surprised if Lewis being left out to dry on tyres that already werent working long before the VSC, could be because they mayne blame him for all of the T1 events. Doesn't make sense, but I cant explain what other possible reason there would be for keeping your driver on a one stop with dead tyres when you have the opportunity to get fresh rubber handed to you on a plate.
Well the Stewart's disagree with you here.

I wonder who he was thinking of...
Anyway they're not in a title fight. McLaren, even with a bigger gap, is more of threat.
