This is the result of a team managed by literal clowns.
If you want to bet on Hamilton just hire a pure second driver like Bottas or whatever. Leclerc should have been fired immediately. Leclerc Hamilton is the worst driver pair in the entire grid.
It’s an interesting point - you could argue that, if they were going to sign Hamilton, it would have made more sense to keep Sainz as his partner - still very fast and good but more likely to slot in behind on pure performance.

But my argument would be not to have signed Lewis at all - if they had got him 10 years earlier, great, but at this stage you needed to leave the team alone unless you could get Max. They now need to think about if they can get Kimi after he wins a couple of championships with Mercedes and built the team around him. No point getting these guys after they’ve peaked.

Lewis is a 7XWDC team builder that's what they hired him for and he is delivering. It's up to Charles to learn how a champion operates and apply that to take the team builing over from Lewis, but it seems he has other more short-sighted plans.

Since 2022 Charles has been the major points scorer for Ferrari. He will score more points for Ferrari this year than Lewis did for the entirety of 2025 and people seem to think he needs to roll over for the rest of this year...

No, he needs to stop thinking his team mate is the only driver with whom he is racing. As long as he only worries about his team mate, he will never win a title.

Just a year after Hamilton left Mercedes, the team suddenly started winning races. Who is responsible for this? Is Antonelli an even better ‘team builder’ than Hamilton?
Mercedes out of a regulation set they could never fully understand into an engine reg set which they've always been good at

Tell that to Hamilton today who said himself, they should have held position at the start.

You can't go, one rule for me, one rule for thee.

If Hamilton wants to win the WDC this year, he needs to firstly outqualify Charles and when he doesn't, he needs to be calm on the first lap, be faster and get the team to swap them on track.

That's what I expect Charles to abide by too.

What he seems to be aiming for is what he had at Mercedes and what Russell is currently experiencing.

Ever imagine how it feels fighting for the World Championship having two number two drivers? Hopeless…
Ferrari don't have two number 1 drivers. They have a 7x WDC in 1 car and a pretender in the other who crashes too much. They can't sack him because of sentiment. Being quick on a qualy lap does not make a WDC and Leclerc's deficiencies both in his ability to lead the team and to simply bring the car back with the wheels attached are being laid bare this year. Leclerc's story has been romanticized to the heavens and that's why guys here like deadhead keep memory holing Leclerc's error rate and trying to claim he's a consistent driver while making digs at Hamilton and other WDCs every other day (he likes to claim anybody can be WDC and Leclerc "just doesn't have the car"). Hamilton is old enough to be Antonelli's uncle and leads "prime Leclerc" in the points and has simply been the better driver. That is what Leclerc's career is worth today. It's harsh, but it's true. People need a reality check about Charles Leclerc and winning a random British GP or a random GP in the 2nd half doesn't invalidate this.
Only fools are questioning Charles abilities. And try putting down Charles is not reflecting well on Lewis, nobody forgot what happened last year, and the gap between them is small this year when you know how the new regulations are restricting Leclerc and Verstappen’s driving style.

If you are the faster driver you are ahead in qualifying and you are faster over a race distance. There is no need to ask for the team to help you.
Your mantra is exactly what led to piastri falling off the cliff last year. After monza, he was never the same again. It almost cost lando the wdc last year too. Michael in germany 2010 put it quite eloquently. In the end there is the wdc and only 1 can win it. If in the end they lose by the points that were taken off eachother then look who has the pie on the face

back in 2023 Max gave an interview in which he said, amongst other things: |
"Other things are important to me. For example, you always have to beat your teammate. That is and remains the most important thing."

stop this fake narrative, that Leclerc fighting only against his team-mates.
F1 is super competitive sport and if you cant beat your teammate you dont deserve to become champion. period.

what Charles did was on the edge, but acceptable

Mclaren was a dominant car!! thats a different story.

We arrived in Australia almost a second behind (engine-wise) the Mercedes on the straights.

We’d already lost that championship by then.

Is there a list of things that have actually improved since Hamilton joined the team?
Brakes. More innovation and better strategy calls.

I would say that again, Ferrari want their puppet driver Lecrec as dominant driver ever compared to Kimi,Vettel now Hamilton. They are doing this for years to save Lecrec. If they keep on doing this, they cannot win any WDC. I bet they will steal Kimi from Mercedes in 2031 and make as total Italian team.

Kimi by the time 5 time WDC if no other manufactures challenging them which I don't see happening near future.

(on 2nd thought, I would say Elkaan brought in the dynamite, rigged the building with it, laid out all the wiring, and simply has been waiting for this moment, I think. Getting rid of Sainz is the worst decision this team has made since 'fuel flow gate', IMHO)

The biggest problem of Lewis is that he thinks he alone is the team. Now the question is if Ferrari will play his little game like Toto did in Mercedes, or if they wont.

Charles is a product of Ferrari - literally. And to push him down for a possible glory run of an aged driver in his quest for the 8th championship is atleast disrespectful to say the least. Aparently Charles is not going out without a fight and he is absolutely right. Should he really be at the sidelines so Lewis can get his shot? I personally dont think so.
If i would get the money to start my own F1 team, i would revive Arrows

I dont know why Fred is even suggesting team orders as its far too late, even lewis has said it wouldnt make sense at this stage and that the wdc is done

That the Max that has journeymen (or worse) as team mates and is given priority at every turn? That Max? The only time he had a half-decent team mate he didn't look quite so all-conquering.

There's one driver on the grid who has nothing to prove because he had world champions as team mates and beat each one of them more than he was beaten. No other driver on the grid can say that.

Frankly, Hamilton should have walked away after 2021 but he has decided to do an Alonso and stay for too long. I guess both he and Fernando have their reasons for that choice.
