The tyre offset might be the best way to win the race from here...

Wow people are going nuts here. It was just unlucky timing with the VSC. Not the first time it has happened and definitely wont be the last.
Yeah, I don't think it's malicious, it's just very, very typical.
Not malicious except very typical (meaning safety cars and VSC's constantly get called at very suspicious times) and it's clear the FIA will do things to manipulate races and championships....sounds malicious to me.

Unlucky timing, fine, but at least field a pit crew that understands that tyres need to be changed during a pitstop, what a joke of a team

He could have stayed on medium and going for the one stop. It’s just a fast Monaco

He will be lucky to make the podium. I have no faith in Lando being able to overtake Verstappen on track in this type of layout. Unless there's battery shenanigans involved and he completely blasts past him.

Sure, but I don't believe it's some grand conspiracy. Also, the team should have just told him to stay out once the VSC ended. Could have made up great time with Leclerc as a buffer.

A double yellow was enough. That VSC was fishy.

What a lovely situation, gone from leading to not even gaining any time on leclerc on 30 lap Old tyres.

This team and its pitcrew is just an utter farse, I feel bad for the staff at woking, build a rocket ship only to be let down by a bunch of so and so’s on the ops side that can’t change a tyre

This team needs a hard shake up, by years end, the 5 pit crew members with the most mistakes get fired, maybe it will motivate them…

what buffer, what are you even talking about? Lec is putting best times on 32 old hards, he is not holding up anyone lol

I've not read all the comments.

I can understand the reason to still stop. Would have lost a lot of time on the old tyres.

Could they have pre empt the vsc. Maybe.
Sometimes its just unlucky.

The whole 2021 was the FIA messing with races which culminated in the final. It's clear that the FIA and liberty want F1 to be more of a show than a sport. Do not put it past organisations who have goals like that to take decisions for "the show" instead of running races how they should and just let things fall how they would.

From a McLaren point of view, once the safety car had ended they should have left him out and run to the optimum one stop strategy
