In hindisght, I actually think Lando would have pulled away even on used mediums. The deg wasnt nearly as bad as we expected and Lando is a master in tire management.
The VSC timing wasn't in their hands, but the decision to pit when the track went green arguably lost them the race. It's good it doesn't change much this year as the WDC is largely a formality at this point, but they have to fix this pit wall issue for the future.
I honestly don't understand how Randy Singh has maintained his job for so long considering how horrible McLaren's pit wall is.
I agree, we have the worst pit wall of any contender and need to fix this asap, it almost cost Lando the WDC last year and just isn’t up to snuff compared to the competition, it’s fine to make questionable decision s when your fighting alpine for P9&10 but not when fighting RB or Merc for wins. This isn’t Ferrari, so let’s actually do something about our biggest deficit.
And as an aside, if we never race at the madring again, it will be too soon.
