2026 Aston Martin Aramco Formula One Team

This weekend spells a lot of trouble for Aston Martin....
- Williams upgrade could push them closer to the top 8 as they rumors that they car might be a lot better than initially anticipated (they passed a crash test that they though would take longer so are bringing more upgrades and a brand new chassis, outside of what was initially planned)
- Sergio Perez is undoubtedly one of the best at Baku (probably would say the best in race pace) and will likely put that Cadillac in a place it's not meant to be + there are upgrades coming to the car.
- We could genuinely leave Baku last in the standings

On Other news Honda 2027 MotoGP division apparently cooked with their 850cc engine. Here's top hope they do the same here soon for 2027.

Williams and Cadillac still have to climb past Alpine and Racing Bulls, teams with strong engines and better cars presently. At the very least, Cadillac is not fighting for points on merit, and their car has had technical and reliability problems most of the season.

While Aston Martin will be running at the back, I hope for two things at Baku. First, better performance in low and mid speed corners with the lighter car. Second, a minimum of doomers on the forum this weekend saying, "hOnDa SuCkS, tHeY mAkE tHe WoRsT eNgInEs." My goodness, it gets tiring to read all the Honda bashing when we know the situation has not changed and is only magnified with the long straights. We get it already.

1) better measure ICE,
2) measure the complete PU (ICE, MGUK +battery + efficiency), and
3) allocate extra development based on position in constructors championship.

i dont know how final that is, or if there will be other things announced above that to help out... as far as where you are in the championship is a bit confusing to me because most teams dont construct their own engines. how would say, williams affect mercedes aduo benefits. mysteries

Bracing for further pain this weekend. Hopefully the team can learn something from the corner varieties in Baku which will be helpful for Singapore. Malaysia will be tough at first glance.

I saw a "The Race" youtube video that was talking about it yesterday. I was trying to watch it but my wife kept wanting to tell me about her day. So I turned it off. I never got back to it but I am still married

so i saw it in a video by tacticalrab on youtube. but it was initially posted on Nachez's X feed. unfortunately it makes it hard to post a link except for the whole youtube vid. the part about the updates to aduo are around the 13:30 mark. apparently FIA have agreed to get rid of the gearbox homologation rule next year too.

So I've read that they want to do more to help Honda under ADUO but nobody has said what. Will more money and more dyno time on top of the increases in CAP and dyno time they’ve already gotten help more? What else can be done?

More testing time, give them additional 2 to 3 days, they should run both the car and give them head start on the testing..

That helps solve little bugs. I don't think it will help advance PU performance.

I really hope Cowell is still working with them behind the scenes to help them get their --- together. I haven't heard anything about what he is currently doing, only some rumours that he'll leave the team by the end of the year.

That could be useful, especially if Honda needs more time solidifying the final 2027 spec.
