I don't know if there was an issue, is just simply slow ...2x passed Bottas ,but on the straight got almost 1 second and Bottas car definitely not 100% if we compare to Cheko the place.

It has zero interest to watch F1 for AM followers. This car shouldn't even be allowed to race. And yes, it's just because the PU is ridiculous. I had hopes on Honda but, well... Facts speak by themselves.

The new Ferrari engines have 20 more horsepower, making the Cadillacs more robust in a straight line. The Audis struggled against the Mercedes and Red Bull powered units, and Bortoleto struggled to stay ahead of Perez at one point.

Next week will be a more normal week when horsepower does not mean absolutely everything.

What happened to Alonso's car? I have a feeling that he just got so frustrated to be repassed every time on main straight and he just parked the car.

IMHO, you need a 3 year freeze to prep for new regs. So I wouldn't bet on new regs before they drop the freeze. Once they drop the freeze, the you know for certain when the new regs are coming.

I don't think any freeze is needed. There didn't use to be. And apparently it doesn't accomplish anything. For example see the situation Honda's in.

The FIA don't care what you and I think. Plus they already agreed to tweaking the rules for 2027 and 2028.

Maybe it is time for Aston Martin just to pull out off this season and only work on next year they are just horrible so far nothing works stiff at the back and not even able to complete 20 laps in a race. It is a total waste and luckily today they didnt cause anymore red flags with their crap car.

Pretty certain he didn't have a suspension problem at Monza either. Just doesn't see the point in racing when he's lapping 3 seconds slower than the leaders.

It's looking more and more that their biggest problem is energy recovery. They still can't recover energy at the same rate as everyone else. Alonso just never had enough energy to deploy down the main straight to hold off Bottas. At a track like Hungary you many more place to recharge and fewer straights to deploy it all.

Have they come out and said that they can recover at 350kw or are they still at 250kw? At one point that was a problem.

Just a complete charlie foxtrot. Honda dropped the ball on the engine side again but a lot of the blame has to go on Newey and the team. The car itself is sub par, the gearbox is a complete disaster and everything just feels half baked. It is mind boggling that they didn't have people embedded with their engine supplier working every day to monitor performance and integration with the chassis and gearbox. That was a total failure of leadership and project management. Honda screwed the pooch but its Aston who let them do it. They wouldn't be in a substantially different competitive position with a Mercedes or RBPT engine.

Whilst I admit Honda have massively screwed-up, the _potential_ is there. You may, or may not choose to believe that it will work out. The interesting question is, where do you think Aston would be with a Merc engine right now?
