In general this is very good for Renault since they’ll be using one-race engine in China, while Kimi will have to use this one unless he does it again…

Now I’m even more certain that Fisichella should have got kick in the butt after first 5-6 races of the season. This is truly shameful and he won’t be driving in Renault next season.

The only comforting thing is that Kimi will have to use this same engine in China…

Now that I think of it they will for sure (they actually don’t have to detonate it at all, just report to FIA they are changing it). Renault will get E spec for China which will be completely different engine than the one used this whole season – one race engine. Since Mclaren probably has something similar built they’ll say “we blew it” and than use they own “one race engine”...

i thinkso this race proves that mclaren is a mile ahead of the competition this season.. and also shows that alonso is a true WORLD CHAMPION by lapping the renault right at its limit consistently

Kimi drove very well but today Alonso’s R25 was the fastest car even though its engine was running second race. If it wasn’t for unjust FIA penalty Kimi wouldn’t finish in front of Alonso.

I won’t comment Fisichella ‘cause his overseer/understeer and grip problems obviously emerge mostly in his head. The pension beginning with 2006 will suit him just fine.

The only question about China is whether Kimi will decide to use this same engine and drive slower car or change to one race engine and drop 10 places.

You know......There is a flip side to Alonso's drive......It shows he is a weak champion.....He put nothing on the line. This is why people say he fluffed and floated his way to a championship and he proved them right with his drive.....F1 is too busy using calculators....

This is another prime example of why F1 is in the hole its in.....another example of how F1 has sacrificed racing.....(and suprisingly it hasnt come from the ferrari or should i say camp MS !!!) The net result of all this is that we as FAN's missed out !!

I see Alonso's show as a tradegy and couldnt give a stuff how Alonso overtook and overtook after he won his title!!!!! Its ....

How do you mean putting nothing on the line? He had put his own ambitions on the line during whole season for the benefit of the team, driving wisely and wasn't possessive as Kimi was. Would you be satisfied if he was turning off rev limiter and blowing out engine in races where he had slower car and DNF just to prove that he is trying to achieve impossible? What would be the point of that?

And this race in Japan... he put a lot on the line for the team only. Risky overtaking like the one in 130R and than the one on grass over Webber including the whole afford during the race was exceptional. What else could he done?! Don’t tell me that Kimi put more effort during Japanese GP…

I could agree that he is a “weak” champion but than you'd have to admit that last “strong” champions were Senna and Prost and in cars that were really difficult to drive without TC, sequential gearbox etc. But if we'd follow that logic than Senna and Prost could be called "weak" champions compared to Jackie Stewart or Jim Clark.

I agree that less racing in less safe car = grater effort and stronger champion but you can’t blame champions from succeeding eras that they are weak simply because technology enabled more safety and less effort.

Since their car became fastest in the second half of the season it seams to be an advantage (taking -10) because they can run fresh "one race engine" on each race.

hey i know u hate ferrari and shumacher but pls. u have to admit that they worked hard to win the titles.. it was the other teams that didnt match ferraris pace in 2002 and 2004. but the other years the worked hard for the titles.
