Ferrari F10

I cannot see much of a difference from the F60 and the new car. Maybes the nose and front wing supports and those damn ugly side pods. Im gonna say that this new F10 could be the same as last years car, maybe marjinly better.

BIG anti-climax. The new McLaren tomorrow could be better than the F10.

For some reason it doesn't strike me as quite as ugly as some are saying.

Okay so the sidepods look like they've been hit with a sledgehammer, but it is acceptable I think.

I have a stream to Justin TV of Rai2's launch show if I'm allowed to post it?

Does anyone know what time (CET or GMT) they are taking the car onto the track?

The name is F10.

First impressions of the new Ferrari are that the car is far more evolutionary than expected. The first thing that strikes you is that the car adopts the Newey “V” nose, albeit the nose isn’t as extreme or raised as high as the 2009 Red Bull RB5. Indeed the nose cone follows the same basic shape as the F60. Still sporting 2009 wings and turning vanes the car still has secrets to reveal, as well as the diffuser design not shown on the launch video. Again evolution is evident with the sidepod fronts, still sporting the unique Ferrari stepped leading edge to provide space both for airflow and the internal crash structure. It’s surprising the sidepods are not as extremely undercut as with the Brawn. However the rear of the sidepods are far more extreme than the outgoing car. The exhaust system is brought forward to allow the tail of the sidepods to be very narrow alongside the engine and gearbox. Above this the engine cover has been narrowed to create long fin along its spine. Which exposes the bulkier area around the headrest, to allow for the larger fuel tank. Its hard to tell from the launch video how the cars basic layout has altered to accommodate the fuel tank.

The exhaust pipes have moved forward despite of the engine beeing mounted farther backwards(because of the larger fuelcell).I think that explains the sidepod-humps. They will have used a much steeper angle for the radiators to move the exhaust forward. I guess the gained space is used for a some sort of multilayer-diffusor solution.

(3 edits... now finaly I got the right quote-picture  )
