I assume those stickers are measuring exhaust temperature. In the first 3 (from left to right) it's going down but the 4th has a big increase...any reasons people can think of as to why there's a big increase there?

the hot air is more on the upper side there, and the last sticker is more up placed...
just my guess

you can see the C-rating on all the stickers...so all have the same range.maybe the
hot bits are a bit too close to the bodywork .

I could not read the make of the strip on the picture.

also worth noting is the detail they have taped over the temperature labels with heat resistive/insulating tape.

Here is a great picture of the FW32 diffuser

and here is a bigger version of the pisture with heat stickers. Here you can see that temperature is actuly increasing in the first 3 stickers, and decrises in the last one. This makes more sens now.

Stole those pictures from another forum, hope that original poster is not mad if he is here to

Woh, that angle makes it look huge. You could definitely lose a cat or two down that thing.

More lights appears to be cooler not hotter.

Yeap. The temp increases from right to left on that sticker thermal sensors.
Less light = the hotter.

wow ,now things get clearer ,it is the exhaust that is blowing there... no underhood temp...
you can see that the strips are actually light blue and indeed these are ordinary thermax stripes ...the temp is a bit high 150°C is a lot hopefully they do not have too many electronic and electric components under that skin in that area...the lifetime of some components is measured in minutes not hours ...is it?

Peel temperature-indicating label from backing paper. Apply to dust & grease free surface.
Indicators change from white/grey to black when the temperature rating has been achieved.
Note that labels with a polyimide film will appear orange to start.
So, the greatest temperature is just above upper A-arm.

It'll be interesting to see how Williams' diffuser and Mercedes' diffuser compares this season, they were the 2 teams that had it last year from the start... Toyota did too but then again they're not competing this year :P
