The Conspiracy Theory (RBR-RENAULT)

Post

Discussing with a friend yesterday (absolute F1 fan for years but with low technical background, just as I am) we ended up explaining the Renault consistent and sudden improvement the following way:

Renault and RBR, as partners, made an agreement. RBR helps Renault to improve their car giving them some of the "secrets" they have for this year. Win-win deal as RBR needs an outsider to take out some championship points to Ferrari and MacLaren.

Arguments: some similarities on both cars, no F-duct on both of them...

Does it make sense to you ? Or should I go back to therapy???

Thanks to all. VAMOS FERNANDO!! :P :P

or possibly the Renault engineers are snapping mobile pix of the car while they are in the garage "setting up the engine"

Yes it makes perfect sense while this is a part of the great Machaivellian revenge by Damon Hill over the Michael Schumacher. Muaha ha ha! :wtf:
Anyway - interesting Conspiracy Theory - almost like F1 championships conquerers cartel. So I guess Vijay Mallya and Martin Whitmarsh has something similar

You conspiracy theory is based around Red Bull being fast and Kubica being fast?

Red Bull are fast 'cos they have a supremely well designed car.
Renault, in the hands of Kubica, is fast because he drives the wheels off of it.

Petrov languishes at the back and is the main thorn in the side of the theory.

Renault engine engineers are at the Red Bull team at every race/test etc so they may pick the odd bit of information up but that's hardly going to change much on the Renault as they're using a different philosophy.

Brilliant!

Love to see someone hand Barrichello a Ferarri hat.... or Alonso a Maclaren hat.

Renault is fast because it's a good car that have only one weakness (lack of downforce) but many strengths.
Renault was fast in Monaco because it's one of the best cars in that kind of circuits.
Renault is also fast because of Kubica; a perfect driver that can reach the limits of his car, when it's good enough.

Kubica a perfect driver? I dont think so. His record against Heidfeld was not so special. Renault appear more competitive due to the engine equalisation, and also some very handy front wing work.

Red Bulls Horner is talking out his anus when he says Reanult are still far behind Ferrari and Mercedes. They are all about the same now, which begs the question, will Mercedes ask for a change to get their sizable advantage back?

Kubica is clearly a pretender, Heidfeld outscored him during their concurent time at BMW... Heidfeld was good all the time, Kubica is definatly sometimey, only good "when the car suited him". The best drivers on the grid are clearly good under all conditions and car situations... look how Alonso & Webber shone even in the Minardi... Kubica? regularly beaten by Heidfeld in good cars and bad ones.

Kubica is a midfield driver in a Renault that shines on the tight twisty tracks... remember how many people thought that the R30 was a repainted R29 because it was so short? Short wheel base is the reason it did so well in Monaco, and the reason people should be putting money on him in Hungary, Valencia & Singapore.
