Ironic coming from a country so woeful at football that their only choice is to back anyone that isn't England.

It's all those half time fish suppers and pre match ciggies that are causing Scotlands problems.

Typical of the English, inbetween ther weeping and the news reports full of excuses, resort to incoorect racial stereotyping when they lack a valid argument or loose at football. Must be all that Morris dancing you guys do.

If you must know, I don't smoke, I don't eat crap like fish suppers or take-aways, I don't smoke and I rarely drink. And I can't think of anyone I know that fits into your incorrect stereotype. I am also part English so could support England if I wanted but I don't want to. So there!!

Anyhoo, now that I have seen off that chap back to football related matters. Shame for Chilie but Brazil outclased them tonight.

If there is something I fear of is the lack of mental "stability" of Maradona. But he was fundamental in levering egos of the stars and bringing good mood to the team.

And BTW, if the "ANOTHER" attacking player is Martin Palermo, be careful, "the optimistic of the goal" he was called... he can score from everywhere in every situation with any part of his body

Franz Beckenbauer? He was a good player and coach... at least he has the 1990 cup.

Maradona hasnt coach elsewhere. And the AFA put a couple of men together with him, I think 50% to help him and 50% to "control" him. About the "insider job", you just have to be Argentinian and love football (not my case) to understand the feeling that a player has when he is side by side with Diego.

Doesn't bother me where folks are from but I do believe in Scotland, Wales and Ireland, and England being independant of each other.

Can't believe it either. Although I think it would be fairly simple to implement. At the most important event one could add a 5th official, while at others the fourth official could just look at the big screen, and order the game to be halted if he has doubt about a decision.

Maybe a system like a limited number of challenges for each team like in tennis would be fine as well.

Anyway, looking forward to Spain-Portugal!
