But he works in ansys on the cfd related programs - I have no reason to doubt him.

Jeez, I'm not sure if that's a good thing or a bad thing. Although, I don't like using Gambit too much, and I've heard that ANSYS ICEM CFD is a much better interface, so I guess this is probably a good thing in terms of a usability standpoint.

Fluent is growing every day and is beig used all over the world and CFX is not. Why on earth would Fluent sell itself?

Don't know, but is that the reasoning you are using for Ansys (who incidentally do alot more than just CFD - unlike Fluent) not buying Fluent?
