That was cool. I like how the little tow car and the guy driving it was able to reverse park that huge thing into the tent where they installed the turbines...He made it look easy....
Those tractors that move the aircraft are purpose built specifically for each type of aircraft. It actually grasps the front wheels, and raises then above the tarmac. It has tremendous torque, and four wheel steering. It can crab sideways. There are people who walk under each wingtip, and tail, and are in constant radio communication with the driver. But it's a tremendous responsibility, towing around a piece of machinery that costs over a hundred million each. And just the slightest error and damage can cost millions to repair.
The paint job is very expensive, they use a special paint that is very light in weight, can resist the elements and airflow. I believe that they also used just one coat too, which is amazing.
