OT: Guys, isn't it possible to post links or at least thumbnails. Opening this page here is a real pain.

In less than an hour we'll see who has gambled on dry or wet qualy/race.

Webbo is really a forward thinking driver... you can clearly see there is a car standing in the pit entry..still he takes inside line....instead of keeping to the very right ...to allow him getting past the obstacle..
a good example for our thinking racedriver thread imo.

Button just beautiful through pouhon ..one steering lock through the corner...compare to hamilton ..one more aggressive move and less steeing for the rest of the corner ..would love to see the the overlays of their data...

Mercedes have now finally lost contact to the top teams altogether and are hardly top ten in Q.Schumacher is their smallest problem.

+1

It is quite slow for me also. I propose that a pictures thread is set up in conjunction with the race thread and only the link is posted, if this is ok with the site administration. Whilst pictures to aid discussion of controversial point from the race are fine, but pictures for pictures sake is a pain.

I think that 99% of those snapshot images from normal laps are pretty useless. It would be interesting if some event has happened, like crash, or show details of cars. But seeing 10+ images from the cockpit of Schumi....

I have to admit those picture series are most interesting to me as you can really see differences in choosing lines steering lock etc..
but sure a split of the thread words -pictures would be something worth considering also for other threads .
the best would be of course having the pictures as a sidebar of thumbnails and you could just place the cursor over them to get them in full view ...easy said ..I know..

Actually your image helps a lot since it answers to the basic question: wet or dry?

I have taken most of the pics out and set the links to URL only.

Great battle in Q1. Tyres are freely being used.

Half way Vettel leads Schumacher in Q2. But the second round will be much faster I think.

Mighty mighty lap from Lewis. 1 second faster than Vettel on a dry track!

Merc GP have no chance on a really dry track. Schumacher had traffic on his out lap and did not get his soft tyres on temp. Rosberg did even worse. It shows the Mercs have only chances when its wet. McLaren have made great progress with their Q3 mapping. You can clearly hear the ignition shift before Bus Stop.

My guess is Hamilton on pole.
